Zagreb Stock Exchange
Zagreb Stock Exchange is a stock exchange constituted back in 1991. As its title says, it operates in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. Stock exchange, or share market, officially signifies trading company stocks and other securities.
Since March 19th, 2007, Zagreb Stock Exchange hasn't been working alone – another Croatian share market, Varaždin Stock Exchange, or VSE, has merged with ZSE. Now they form a unique Croatian market.
As we said, Zagreb Stock Exchange was established in 1991 and continued the business of Zagreb Stock Exchange for Goods and Securities which operated from 1918 to 1946.
How does it all work? The most simple explanation is that stock exchange members who are spread all over Croatia, use the Zagreb Stock Exchange as a trading place for their clients or themselves, meaning, their accounts.
It is worth mentioning that members only trade with the securities that are included in one of the markets of the ZSE. Trading is carried out through MOST — an electronic system; all brokers have access to it in real time, trying to have a perfect way of getting the same information at the same time.
If you are interested in trading securities, you can use the Internet — a special channel called MOSTich will provide you with current prices.
